With 34 years spanning mortgage lending, underwriting, and full-service real estate brokerage, Stephanie brings a depth of expertise that most agents simply don't have. She started in the mortgage industry, moved into underwriting, and ultimately became a licensed California real estate broker — giving her a 360-degree view of every transaction.
A Career Built on Understanding the Whole Transaction
Stephanie began her career in mortgage lending in the early 1990s, working directly with borrowers and lenders during one of California's most volatile real estate cycles. That experience taught her how financing decisions affect a seller's bottom line — and how to price, position, and negotiate a home sale to attract the strongest, most qualified buyers.
After years in underwriting, Stephanie saw firsthand how deals fell apart — not because of the home, but because of avoidable mistakes in pricing, disclosure, or contract structure. She became a licensed broker and began closing real estate transactions under SMS Real Estate, building hands-on experience representing sellers from contract to close.
Fixed Rate Real Estate is Stephanie's newly formed corporation — the next step in that journey.
